Carmin, Norma Lee

NORMA LEE (MCDONALD) CARMIN of Cheboygan, Mich., 84, widow of the late Rev. Robert Lee Carmin, a deceased clergy member of the Indiana Conference, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Hospice of the Straits in Cheboygan. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 16, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 531 East Lincoln Avenue in Cheboygan. Norma and Robert Carmin served many churches in the Indiana Conference including Epworth UMC in Fort Wayne and Industry UMC in Muncie. She was an active member of St. Paul”s UMC in Cheboygan, an avid reader, quilter, cook, knitter and a huge basketball fan. She volunteered at Hospice of the Straits and the Opera House for nearly 20 years. Survivors include: daughters, Leslie S. Carmin, Leigh A. (Alan) Holbrook; son, R. Mark (Susan) Carmin; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Straits of Cheboygan and St. Paul”s United Methodist Church, 531 East Lincoln Avenue Cheboygan, MI 49721.
