BETTY JOAN (JO) FIELDS of Bloomington, 78, wife of the Rev. James Robert (Bob) Fields, a retired clergy member of the Indiana Conference, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Together they served churches in Terre Haute, Kentland, Knox, Kendallville, Elkhart, Huntington and Warsaw before retiring to Bloomington in 1993. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4 at St. Mark’s UMC, 100 North State Road 46 in Bloomington, Ind. The Revs. Ned Steele and Mary Beth Morgan will be officiating. A reception will follow the service. Due to construction on the bypass highway, the main entrance to St. Mark’s Church is closed. Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Bob Fields; four children, Mark, Scott, Lynette and Kirk; and five grandchildren, Isaac, Bevan, Casey, Harrison and Jonathan.
