CAROL ANNE (BODE) MARTY of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, 84, mother of the Rev. David Marty, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Rockville, Ind. died Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was a lifelong professional singer, pianist and voice instructor who taught for many years at Otterbein College and Capital University. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Road in Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, with visitation at the church two hours prior to the service, from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be a private graveside service. Survivors include: three children, Kathleen (Tim) of Washougal, Wash., David (Mary) of Rockville and Daniel (Vicki) of Valley City, Ohio; four grandchildren and seven AFS exchange students whom she considered her grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
