GAYLORD MILLER SALTZGABER of South Bend, Ind., 90, a retired Elder in the Indiana Conference, died March 16, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. A memorial service for family and friends was held April 1 at Coalbush United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, Ind. Survivors include: by his three children, Mark Saltzgaber (Connie), Amy Otto (Rich) and Wendy Grice (Garry); three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, the former Carol Parcell and grandson, Paul Saltzgaber. After a 32-year career at the Mishawaka office of The South Bend Tribune, he felt called to ordained ministry. He served Maple Grove UMC in New Carlisle, North Liberty UMC and Maple Grove UMC on New Road in South Bend.
