“NELLIE” LOUISE BRACKNEY, mother of Rev. Steve Brackney, pastor of Scottsburg United Methodist Church, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, 602 East Washington Street, Greencastle, Ind. A memorial service will held be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Brick Chapel United Methodist Church, 3547 State Road 231, Greencastle, Ind. with Pastor Paul Taylor officiating. Interment to follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include: children Steve (Linda), Darrell (Linda), Keith (Shirley) and Sheila McCullough (Gary); sisters Kay McKamey (Bob) and Carolyn Carson (John); nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Charlotte Wichmann (Paul); brother-in-law, Jack Brackney.
