CAROLYN K. WOLF of Valparaiso, Ind., 96, wife of retired Elder of the Indiana Conference the Rev. Dr. John D. Wolf, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. CT at the First United Methodist Church, 103 N. Franklin Street in Valparaiso with the Rev. Dr. Jacob C. Williams officiating, followed by a reception in the church parish hall. Survivors include: her husband of 70 years, the Rev. Dr. John D. Wolf; their three sons, John D. (Vicki) Wolf, Jr., of South Bend, Carter Anderson (Kim) Wolf of Indianapolis and Earl Kelsey (Deborah) Wolf of Williamston, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Peter, Carter, Tyler, Sarah, Natasha, Luke, Cassie, Lara and Colin; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Cameron, and Cooper. She had been a kindergarten teacher in Ohio, Saginaw, Mich. and Manhasset, Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of the First UMC in Valparaiso, the United Methodist Women, League of Women Voters and PEO. She also was an accomplished pianist and was devoted to children’s Christian education. Memorials contributions may be made to First UMC in Valparaiso, United Methodist Women Scholarship Fund or the Valparaiso Family YMCA Scholarship fund. Condolences may be sent to the Rev.
