VIRGINIA “GINNY” LEYES, mother-in-law of the Rev. John Myrland, pastor of McCordsville UMC, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 in Carmel at IU Health North. Visitation will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19 in Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road in South Bend, Ind. where there will be a Rosary at 6 p.m. and family tributes thereafter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame University, 104 The Presbytery, Notre Dame, Ind. Survivors include: children, Deborah Fairfax, Nancy Myrland, Harold Leyes Jr., Douglas Leyes and Frank Leyes; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
