CHARLES A. KOELSCH of Mishawaka, Ind., 70, father of the Rev. Karen Koelsch, pastor of Galveston UMC in the North Central District, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011. He was a member of the Good Shepherd UMC in Granger, Ind. A memorial service was held Dec. 29 at the Bubb Funeral Chapel in Mishawaka. Survivors include: his wife, Nancy E. Phipps; three daughters, the Rev. Karen Lee Koelsch of Galveston, Cindy Beth (Mike) Trenerry of Granger and Dr. Cheryl Lynn (Butch) Distajo of Montgomery, Ill.; five grandchildren, Aaron, Jocelyn Distajo, Ella, Alexander and Grace Trenerry.
