GENE S. BELLAMY of Elkhart, Ind., 77, father-in-law of the Rev. John Thomas, serving as pastor of New Palestine UMC, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard in Elkhart. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 CR 18 in Goshen. The Revs. Larry Kurtz and John Thomas will officiate. Survivors include: daughters, Vicki (John) Thomas of New Palestine, Debra (David) Kershner of Goshen and Cara (Steve) Starzyk of Elkhart; sons, Randall (Cindy) Bellamy of Huntington and Eric (Gayle) Bellamy of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
