MARVIN SWANSON of St. Peters, Mo., 76, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Nov. 19, 2011. A memorial service was held Nov. 23 in St. Charles, Mo., following burial Nov. 26 at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, Ill. Survivors include: three children, Eric, Kirsten and Karen; and five grandchildren. He spent most of his ministry in higher education as a chaplain and assistant dean at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and Professor of Philosophy and Religion and as director of the Center for International Studies at Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau.
