JEFFREY CARL JONES of LaPorte, 68, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011. His wife, the Rev. Dorothy M. Jones, serves as pastor of the Rolling Prairie UMC. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. CDT, Friday, Aug. 12, at Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe Street in La Porte, Ind. (www.cutlerfuneral.com). A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. CDT, Saturday Aug. 13, at Door Village UMC, 3502 West Joliet Road in LaPorte, Ind., with visitation an hour before the service. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Jones; his daughter, Jennifer (Eric John) Culp of Mishawaka, Ind.; and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Culp. The family has requested no flowers.
