EVERETT CHRISTMAS HUMPHREY OWENS of Valdosta, Ga., 97, retired pastor of the Indiana Conference, died Sunday, May 1, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at the Simpson United Methodist Church, 2501 South Harrison Street in Fort Wayne, IN 46807. Visitation will be held one hour before the memorial service at the church. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Garvin, Minn. In retirement, he served as visitation pastor at Simpson UMC. He also served Indiana churches at Milford and Monson Chapel after transferring from the North Dakota Conference in 1975. Survivors include: his daughter, Roberta R., two cousins, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Dahl-Hultin Owens and their children Ronald and Sheryl.
