RUTH ELLEN (BOND) CRAWFORD of Avon, 86, surviving spouse of the late Rev. Gene P. Crawford, clergy member of the Indiana Conference, died Saturday, March 26, 2011. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, 106 Shaw Street in Plainfield, Ind. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 31, at 10 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Plainfield UMC, 600 Simmons Street in Plainfield with burial at Washington Park East Cemetery. Survivors include: sons, Charles (Teresa) and Philip (Jennifer) Crawford; daughter, Sue Ellen (Gary G.) Robinson; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
