MARGHERITA L. “MARGIE” LOUDON of Depauw, Ind., 81, mother of the Rev. Laura Loudon McDonald (Deacon serving in Extension Ministry, South District), died Thursday, March 24, 2011, while vacationing in New Orleans, La. She was a retired director of Daviess County Retired Seniors Volunteer Program and member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church in Ramsey, Ind. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, Ind. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31 at Unity Chapel UMC, 1760 Lost Creek Road NW, Ramsey. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Unity Chapel UMC with the Revs. Jeff Reed and Joe Kamman officiating, with burial in Loudon Chapel Cemetery at Depauw. Preceding her in death were her husband, Carman J. Loudon and daughter, Gilda D. Gregg. Survivors include: son, Dr. Michael Loudon (Maureen Robinson) of Charleston, Ill., daughters, Jean Loudon (Dr. Gorden Hedahl) of River Falls, Wisc., the Rev. Laura Loudon McDonald (Mark) of Palmyra, Ind.; son-in-law, Timothy Gregg (Laurie), of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
