RITA JANE LAWSON, 73, mother-in-law of the Rev. Daniel J. Berger, senior pastor of First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Culver. Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church Fireside Room, 511 School Street in Culver, IN 46511. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18 at Wesley UMC. Survivors include: her husband of 52 years Latham Lane Lawson; two daughters, Kelly Berger of Lafayette, and Abby Lawson of Austin, Texas; a brother, Shelby (Sandy) Foster of Troy, Mich.; two sons-in-law, the Rev. Dan Berger of Lafayette and Jim Freeman of Austin, Texas; and four grandchildren.
