JACK VANSTONE, 80, of Evansville, husband of Marty VanStone (who was the former Evansville District Assistant) died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010. He was an active member of Methodist Temple UMC for 56 years and held many local and national leadership positions in The United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, with visitation one hour before the service at Methodist Temple, 2109 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, with the Rev. Kevin McKinney officiating. Survivors include: his wife, Marty; daughters, Kathryn Kornblum-Zelle of Evansville, Susan Kleindorfer of Troy, Ill., and Ellen Sutton of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Temple, 2109 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714-1611; Lampion Center, 655 South Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714-4048; or the Masonic Learning Center for Dyslexic Children, 203 Chestnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713.
