SUMMER LEWIS WALTERS, JR. of Franklin, Ind., 75, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26 in the chapel at Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W Jefferson Street in Franklin, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Franklin United Methodist Community chapel with the Revs. Robert Coleman, Andrew Kinsey and John Eley will be officiating. Burial will be at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 East Adams Drive in Franklin. Survivors include: his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Barfield Walters; two sons, John Richard Walters of Cheney, Washington and Paul Lewis Walters of Bloomington, Ind.; daughter, Grace Elizabeth Hamilton of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
