LLOYD HOWARD MILLER of Valparaiso, Ind., retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road in Valparaiso, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 30 at First United Methodist Church, 103 North Franklin Street in Valparaiso. Miller and his wife Margie raised their children at First UMC in Valparaiso before Lloyd was called into pastoral ministry. He served in Hammond First, Wanatah Faith and several churches in the Fort Wayne area before retiring and moving back to Valparaiso upon retirement in June 2004. He served part time on staff at Valpo First with responsibilities for elder ministry, Bible teaching and National/International missions. Survivors include: wife, Margie Evans Miller; three children, Sarah Conover of Troy, Ohio; Rachel Oppman of Niles, Mich.; Naomi Sipe of Louisville, Ky.; and nine grandchildren.
