Harold A. Stone, father of the Rev. Alex Stone, pastor of Woodmar UMC in Hammond, Ind., died Saturday, March 27, 2010. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30 at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W. Franklin Street in Elkhart, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. March 31 at Hillcrest UMC, 4206 East Bristol Street in Elkhart with the Rev. James Fookes officiating. Survivors include: children, Eric Stone of Hampton Va., the Rev. Alex Stone of Hammond and Catherine McEndarfer of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
