Erma Jewell Byrum, mother of the Rev. David Byrum senior pastor of First UMC in Valparaiso, Ind., died Thursday, March 25, 2010. A memorial service was held March 29 at Grace UMC, in Franklin with the Rev. Bob Coleman presiding. Survivors include: husband, Jack M. Byrum of Franklin; a daughter, Kathy J. Phelps of Somerset, Ky.; two sons, David M. Byrum of Valparaiso and Douglas M. Byrum of South Lyon, Mich.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Condolences can be sent to the Rev.
