CECIL L. HENDRIX, 90, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 at Winona Lake Village in Winona Lake, Ind. Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 6 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Boulevard in Elkhart, Ind. on Sunday, Jan. 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. A Service of Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon, Monday, Jan. 4 at Bethel UMC, 1200 N. Michigan Street in Elkhart at with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. A brunch will be served for family and friends in the fellowship hall of Bethel UMC at 10 a.m. Gravesite service will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth. Survivors include: four children, Cecille Huff of Poland, Ohio, Dennis Hendrix of Elkhart, Linda Nightingale of Mishawaka and Jeffry Hendrix of Falls Church, Va.; one daughter-in-law Nancy of South Bend; one brother, Warren Hendrix of St. Joseph, Mich.; one sister, Marilyn Wells of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
