MILDRED L. SCHWEIN, 94, stepmother of the Rev. William Merlin Schwein, Jr., retired Elder (former SIC) and widow of the late Rev. W. Merlin Schwein, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 22 in the Wright Chapel at Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 West Jefferson in Franklin from 2 to 4 p.m., preceding a 4 p.m. memorial service. Survivors include: a daughter, Kathleen Hoppes of Petersburg; two sons, the Rev. John Kixmiller of Indianapolis and Robert Kixmiller of Zionsville; a stepson, the Rev. William Schwein of Carmel; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 618 Eighth Street, Columbus, IN 47201; or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences can be sent to the William M.
