JOHN B. BUNNELL, 48, son of the Rev. Richard E. Bunnell, pastor of Huntington Bethel UMC (former NIC), died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Harper and Son Funeral Home, 740 SR 930 East in New Haven, Ind. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 19 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street in New Haven, Ind., with burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Survivors include: his wife, Sue; children, Joel B. Bunnell and Leesa R. Bunnell, both of New Haven; parents, the Rev. Richard E. Bunnell of Roanoke and Sandra Hellwege of New Haven; sister, Karen Holliness; and stepsiblings, Erik Olson of Lahaina, Hawaii, Kirstin Bullington of Columbia, S.C., and Patty Edwards of Denver, Colo.
