W. A. AMERSON, 92, father of the Rev. Dr. Philip Amerson president of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and member of the Indiana Conference, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009. Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, 1119 East Market Street in New Albany, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Wesley Chapel UMC, 2212 State Street, New Albany, IN 47150 with private burial services at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Survivors include: sons, Philip Amos Amerson, president of Garrett-Evangelical Seminary, 2121 Sheridan Rd., Evanston, IL 60201; William Thomas Amerson of New Albany; Stephen Wesley Amerson of Granada Hills, Calif.
