BETTY JUNE DREIFKE, mother of the Rev. Dexter W. Garman, pastor of Epworth UMC in South Bend (former NIC), died on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Sept.4 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne, Ind. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at Trinity UMC, 609 Putnam Street in Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dexter Garman plans to officiate. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at the St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding, Ohio. Memorials can be given to the American Cancer Society or to the family.
