Timeline

August 4-October 26, 2014 – Local church may endorse person to district conference.

October 27, 2014 – Deadline for “Willingness to Serve” forms (lay and clergy) to be submitted online for presentation to District Conference for endorsement process.

November 18, 2014 – January 4, 2015 – District Conferences hold “meet and greet” opportunities and vote to identify up to 3 lay and 3 clergy endorsed persons.

January 7, 2015 – Names of persons endorsed by the district conference (lay and clergy) must be submitted to the Election Committee chairperson to be forwarded to the Leadership Table.

January 15, 2015 – Leadership Table must receive the list of district-endorsed persons and their “Willingness to Serve” forms from the Election Committee Chairperson.

January 31, 2015 – Leadership Table may add additional names to the list of endorsed persons (up to 5 lay and 5 clergy).

February 15, 2015 – Leadership Table must submit additional names of endorsed persons (if any) to the Election Committee Chairperson.

April 1, 2015 – Final list of endorsed Willingness to Serve candidates will be available online to conference members.

April 2, 2015 – Persons not endorsed by the district process or by the Leadership Table shall be contacted and informed of the process to add their “Willingness to Serve” forms to the list of persons to be considered for election to General and Jurisdictional Conference to the Sessions Committee.

April 15, 2015 – Deadline for persons not endorsed by the district process and the Leadership Table to add their names and “Willingness to Serve” forms to the list of persons to be considered for election to General and Jurisdictional Conference to be distributed to the members of Annual Conference.

April 30, 2015 – All “Willingness to Serve” forms submitted through the processes noted above will be posted in alphabetical order, in two lists – clergy and lay.  This list will compose the official ballot of the election process.  Additional persons may be considered during Annual Conference through the procedure for write in votes.

Annual Conference (May 29, 2015) – Sessions Committee (or sub-committee) provides opportunities to meet lay and clergy persons who have expressed a Willingness to Serve.
