Indiana Merit Scholarships
The Campus Ministry Discipleship Team and the Indiana Conference are pleased to announce the Conference Merit Scholarship being offered each year for students enrolled or planning to enroll in a United Methodist-related college or university. To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a full, active member of a The United Methodist Church within the Indiana Conference,
2. Be recommended by his/her pastor,
3. Be an undergraduate student currently or enrolling in the Fall at a United Methodist- related college or university inside or outside of Indiana.
The Conference Merit Award comes from a rebate of 10% of the funds collected by the Indiana Annual Conference toward the United Methodist Student Day offering. Awards range from $500 to $1500 and the number of scholarships awarded is based on the offering collected.
If you have a member of your congregation/youth group who would qualify for the scholarship, please have them complete the APPLICATION. They will submit the completed application, a recommendation letter from their pastor, and a copy of their recent transcripts for consideration by the scholarship committee. The completed application packet should be returned by April 15 to: Merit Scholarship, Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, 301 Pennsylvania Parkway, Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46280.
