Day Five, Sunday May 24, 2015
“Speakers and workshop leaders
prepare divinely inspired messages.”
With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,
and great grace was upon them all.
– Acts 4:33 NRSV
The keynote speakers were carefully selected and divinely appointed for the 2015 Indiana UMC Annual Conference. Focus. Pay attention. Take notes. Reflect on the challenges. Allow the words to burn until you are on fire with the Holy Spirit to empower you to greater and better accomplishments.
We welcome George Howard, the Deputy General Secretary to the General Board of Global Ministries, who has been involved with mission outreaches around the world. His passion for missions is contagious. Let’s catch the tsunami wave of missions involvement to build the foundation for evangelizing at home and across the oceans.
Embrace Bishop Cynthia Fiarro Harvey as she brings hope and energy to our conference. “Sharing the gospel with people that live on the edges or who haven’t heard about the gospel yet is important to Bishop Harvey.” (Louisiana Conference website)
Our own beloved Bishop Mike Coyner will inspire and ignite the flame burning within us all to share our stories. Read his books and newsletters to keep your fire burning when the flame becomes weak.
“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God,
and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen;
such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on Earth.”
– John Wesley
Check out the variety of workshops with an open mind. Hopefully, you will find the answers to your prayers through divine connections, revelations, and inspirations.
Holy Father in Heaven, we pray protection over the speakers and workshop presenters. We ask for them to use their time wisely for preparation. May they spend time leaning their ears on the heart of Jesus to truly know and understand his heart. Open doors of opportunities for them with favor for whatever they need for their presentations. We pray for people to hear the messages spoken, assimilate the ideas, and implement suggestions in their communities. Thank you for the anointing which transfers faith from people to people and to more people. Thank you Jesus for your anointing and inspiration for us all. Amen.
