What is the Rejuvenate Project 

  • A project made possible by a generous matching grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.
  • A project whose purpose is to strengthen clergy excellence and enhance the viability of congregations
  • Rejuvenate consists of an educational program for clergy and laity and an economic initiative for clergy and /or clergy spouses
  • The educational program focuses on financial management, planning and personal stewardship education
  • The four economic initiatives or grants are :
    • Clergy and/or Clergy Spouse Education Debt Reduction Grant;
    • Retirement Fund Incentive Grant;
    • Funding for Emergencies Grant and
    • Called Anew Grant.

FAQs

  1. Are spouses required to attend the workshops?
    To be included in the Clergy and/or Clergy Spouse Education Debt Reduction grant application process, the spouse is required to participate in the first day of the David Bell's Extravagant Generosity workshop.   Spouses are not required to attend the workshops if they do not plan to apply for a Education Debt Reduction grant. 
  2. Are congregations responsible for providing the matching funds for the grants that pastors apply for?
    NO! Rejuvenate will identify the matching funds for all grants.

CEU’S for clergy: Rev. Sandy Harlan, Associate Director for Clergy Services, informs that clergy will receive one credit per hour on contact (excluding breaks and meals) for the Rejuvenate financial workshops and seminars they attend.
