Philippines Missionary Available to Speak

Janet McCarty, a UMC missionary in the Philippines, will be itinerating and speaking in the Indianapolis area this fall. She is presently serving at the Southern Philippines Methodist Colleges in Mindanao as Dean of Education and Acting President while teaching education courses.

SPMC started in 1994. Because the college is in an economically depressed area, the majority of the students are on scholarship for need. The college offers a BA in Theology, Early Childhood Education and Elem. Education. It also has a pastor’s school.

Prior to going to SPMC in 2007, McCarty taught children of the United Mission to Nepal appointees in a tutorial setting. UMN seeks to serve the people of Nepal in the name and spirit of Christ.
