Conversations on the Way Forward
with Bishop Mike Coyner
You have another opportunity to join us for Conversations on a Way Forward with Bishop Mike Coyner: September 13 7:00-8:30pm EDT at Wabash First UMC. Our global United Methodist Church is approaching major decisions which will come at the special "called session" of General Conference 2019. This Conference will be considering proposals from the Commission on the Way Forward. These proposals are a response to issues of human sexuality within the diverse global contexts of our UMC. They will propose possible new structures to shape the "way forward" for our global church in the years ahead.
To help us be better informed about these issues and decisions, we have invited retired Bishop Mike Coyner to come to St Andrew UMC. He will give us a presentation on the history, processes, and proposals which the General Conference will address.
His discussion will be followed by time for questions/answers/discussions.
This presentation is open to everyone who is interested.
