Jennifer Gallagher, Conference Treasurer and Director of Financial Services, has submitted her letter of resignation and her last day on the job will be December 17, 2015. Gallagher has served the previous South Indiana Conference and the new Indiana Conference since 1999. She has accepted another position that represents an opportunity to advance her career. The Indiana Conference is now forming a Search Committee of persons from the Human Resources Committee and the Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CCFA). Typically this kind of search for a new director position with our conference takes several weeks, so plans are in place for the current Financial Services staff to cover the needs and Gallagher has agreed to return as needed to help with year-end financial reports and the 2015 audit.
In response to receiving her resignation, Bishop Coyner said, “Jennifer has been a valuable part of the Indiana Conference staff and team of leaders for 16 years, so she will be greatly missed. However, we all wish her well as she moves into a new position that will allow her to continue her amazing growth as a Christian leader. Our Search Committee process has worked well in the past and we will trust that process to help us secure the next leader for this position.”
When the Search Committee has met to finalize the process, the position will be posted on the Conference website for applications. It is expected that this will include interested candidates from around the country, so further announcements will be forthcoming.
