Clergy Spouses gather at 2017 Annual Conference
During the 2017 Indiana Annual Conference, clergy spouses gathered, shared memories, and encouraged one another to pursue joy.
“Joy for me is a journey of yourself, and it is also a journey of Jesus, others, and yourself,” said First Lady Racelder Grandberry-Trimble.
First Lady Racelder also encouraged the clergy spouses to pray fervently and often. She also called for the need to support and pray for all clergy, including those who are without a spouse.
Each spouse brought a photo that showed a time when they experienced joy and shared about that experience.
First Lady Racelder shared about the simple things she’s done throughout her time as a clergy spouse that brought her joy along with a few ways fellow clergy spouses may find joy in the challenges of ministry; being present, listening, and prayer.
The gathering ended with taking up an offering for the Indiana Miracle Offering for Global Health.
