INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Conference will be holding a Making a Good Move seminar, required for all pastors who will be moving to a new appointment in 2014. The seminar will be held Friday, May 16 at 2 p.m. EDT,/1 p.m. CDT, at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons Street in Plainfield, Ind., just west of the Indianapolis International Airport.
Pastors are expected, spouses are invited and seminar concludes with dinner. Then Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT/9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CDT the seminar will be for pastors, spouses, and S/PPRC chairperson or representative.
Bishop Mike Coyner and the Rev. Dr. Doug Anderson will be presenting solid, sensible guidance on making a good move into a successful ministry. This seminar will be of value to both the pastor and the church leadership team as they gain skills and identify opportunities for establishing and strengthening relationships, and plan carefully for leading church members through the pastoral change transition.
