NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Abingdon Press’ new women’s study line Abingdon Women has partnered with Bible teacher and seminary professor Kimberly Dunnam Reisman to create a new multi-component Bible study for women including print pieces and a DVD. Based on the biblical foundation of Ephesians Chapter 3, Reisman’s The Christ-Centered Woman: Finding Balance in a World of Extremes shares what the Bible teaches about Christ-centered living and helps women identify barriers to this revolutionary type of living.

Reisman created the study to help women shift from focusing on how to juggle their responsibilities to how to make choices that reflect their relationship with Christ and his direction for their lives. In her six-week study, women discover how living a life centered on Christ helps them contemplate, sort and prioritize their callings. Participants will experience Christ as Rock, Solace, and Guide as they allow him to be the calm center that helps them wisely navigate the competing demands and responsibilities of life.

“Abingdon Women is honored to be a part of Kimberly Dunnam Reisman’s ministry of helping women find peace, purpose and joy through a Christ-centered life,” says Susan Salley, Associate Publisher of Ministry Resources at Abingdon Press.

“Kimberly brings years of biblical study and life experience to this series, and we believe her wise teaching will encourage women to live successful and balanced lives focused on Christ.”

The Christ-Centered Woman is a DVD-based Bible study, featuring six video sessions of Reisman’s dynamic teaching. Using the wheel as a metaphor for a Christ-centered life with Christ in the center and strong, reliable spokes that provide support, Reisman identifies seven spokes or biblical tools that help us to find balance and wholeness at every age and stage of life.

The companion participant guide features five daily devotional readings for each of the six weeks, along with an interactive format that includes space for responding to questions and recording personal reflections. A leader guide and preview book are also available. Women’s Group and Small Group leaders can purchase a full kit, which includes the DVD plus leader guide, participant book, and pocket sampler preview book or they can obtain the components separately.
