INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Conference hired Tony Pagano this past summer as the Indiana United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Disaster Response Plan Facilitator. He is actively recruiting at least ten volunteers from each district to join Early Response Teams (ERTs) from across the state. The mission of an ERT is to assist affected individuals with recovery immediately after a disaster following first responders. One-day UMCOR-approved training will be provided for team members. It’s provided in local and regional training events.
Trained ERTs are needed in Colorado right now. If you would like to know more about being an early responder following a disaster or are interested in being a trained volunteer to assist disaster survivors in their time of need, please contact Tony Pagano by calling 317-721-6043 or emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
