TRAFALGAR, Ind. – The Green Team of Trafalgar United Methodist Church won a $3,500 grant this past year through the Johnson County Community Foundation. The grant was given for the church to develop a community garden for the Trafalgar town people. With the closing of the only grocery in town, the green team felt there was a need for families to have the opportunity to raise their own fresh vegetables. As of mid-August, the garden has produced about 150 pounds of produce that the green team shares with the congregation. Extra produce is taken to our local food pantry at the Lord’s Locker in Trafalgar.
