CORYDON, Ind. – Perseverance Chapel UMC celebrated the 2012 Kentucky Derby-Oaks Day, May 4, by sharing and caring with Ronald McDonald House families and staff. Perseverance volunteers cooked and served an “Oaks” dinner, decorated the dining area with horses and delivered a bushel basket of soda can tabs. The tabs will be recycled and money collected from them will be used to purchase items of necessity for the house. Perseverance Chapel is located in southern Harrison County. The Rev. Stephen McAfee is pastor. For more information regarding Ronald McDonald House located at 550 S. First Street in Louisville, Ky., and how you can assist, call 502-581-1416.
