Co-Conference Lay Leaders Ike Williams and Kayc Mykrantz encourage all laity coming to the Indiana Annual Conference session June 7-9 to take advantage of the specific offerings for laity, Thursday, June 7.
Laity (both members and guests) will have an opportunity to get to know one another better at the laity luncheon at 11 a.m. in the upstairs ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center. During the luncheon, one of the two laity manuscript winners will share his or her thoughts on the theme, Making Room, and folks will have an opportunity for table discussion around topics chosen because of their importance to the laity. Online registration for the laity luncheon begins Monday, April 2.
Laity will gather in the upstairs ballroom for the Lay Executive Session at 3:30 p.m. the same day. There will be a time of worship, the announcement of the recipients of the Denman and the Bread and Basin awards, and the other manuscript winner will speak to the group.
Finally, our keynoters for the Conference, the Rev. Dr. Jim Ozier and Ms. Fiona Macleod, will spend time with the group, sharing their ideas about church growth and vitality that are particular to laity.
