Agape Family Ministry has added music to its ongoing ministries led by the Rev. Robert H. Miller, Jr., a retired United Methodist pastor, and his wife Norietta, both of New Palestine, Ind.

The singing group is composed of musicians, speakers, teachers and other people with a variety of interests and talents. They are from Terre Haute, Connersville, Salem, Indianapolis, Corydon, Greenfield, Greenwood, McCordsville, Anderson, New Palestine and Louisville, Ky., to name a few.

Agape has shared its ministry throughout Indiana at more than 300 events, as well as in neighboring states. The 25-member Agape team has talents in drama, children’s and youth ministry, singing and musicians, teachers of the Bible, small group specialists and lay witnesses. The team sings music of all types including traditional hymns, contemporary gospel and praise music, country and bluegrass, black gospel and classical Christian.

Agape Family Ministry also bands together in mission outreach, such as tornado relief in Evansville and in rural Perry County, where members of the team worked on houses, parsonages and church buildings.

The Ministry is ecumenical in scope and has members that are United Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals, Missionary Baptists, Independent Christians and other faith groups. The common thread that brings Agape together and keeps the team bonded is the love they find in Jesus Christ.

This year Agape, a non-profit organization, plans to bring its ministry to Brownstown, LaPorte, Louisville, Glenns Valley, Indianapolis, Lizton and Greenwood.
