In less than two weeks, pastors and other clergy from across Indiana will gather for the Our Life Together spiritual retreat at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Feb. 16 & 17, beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. through Friday 3 p.m. Together, Karen Greenwaldt and Russ Harris will work with Shane Claiborne to bring to life Isaiah’s image of the people of God as the work of God the Potter’s hand. “We are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand” (Isaiah 64:8).

Participants will be challenged and embraced, called forward and offered grace. Featured during this two-day event will be:

Shane Claiborne, a nationally-known leader in the new monastic movement,

Karen Greenwaldt, General Secretary of the General Board of Discipleship and author of several books and articles about discipleship, plus

Russ Harris, Karen’s husband, a full-time studio potter and former pastor who served churches in Ohio and Tennessee. Harris will be spinning pots during the retreat.

The retreat also will include small-group sharing sessions, break times for conversations, booths featuring a number of vendors including conference-related ministries, worship with musicians and singers, and closing worship with Bishop Mike Coyner. Cost is $60 per person for the two days.
