More scholarships needed

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. – Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries received a $2,500 grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. through the 2011 Summer Youth Program Fund. The grant will help support our first-year Community Outreach Program that we are implementing to give at-risk students from the Indianapolis area the opportunity to experience Christ-centered community through camp at no cost to them.

We have partnered with the following Indianapolis organizations to give a total of 75 at-risk students the gift of camp this summer:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana – 20 students
  • Saint Florian Center – 35 students
  • East 10th United Methodist Youth Center – 20 students

A total of $30,000 is still needed to fund this program. Send a child to camp this summer and Be A Life Changer. It only takes a little to make a huge difference in a child’s life. Here is the amount of money it takes to help a child or youth attend camp:

  • $32.92 for a Half Day of Camp,
  • $65.83 for a Full Day of Camp,
  • $195.00 for a Mini Camp (3 days, 2 nights) and
  • $395.00 for an Impact Camp (6 days, 5 nights).

Donate online at or call Alexis at 574-834-2212 ext. 1010.

Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries also seeks to partner with several congregations in the Indianapolis area to help us provide transportation to and from camp for the campers and their families. If your church has a bus and would be interested in helping these families and students, please contact Alexis Hyndman at or 574-834-2212 ext. 1010.

Thank you to all of our donors who already have made this dream a reality for these kids. Impact 2818 Outdoor Ministries look forward to building the program together so that more lives may be impacted by Christ through camp for many years to come.
