The U.S. News and World Report has recognized the nursing facility component of the Franklin United Methodist Community in the magazine’s comprehensive report “Best Nursing Homes in 2011.” The Community has been named for its overall Five-Star Rating, which is the highest rating from the federal government’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
A facility’s overall grade is geared to its performance in health inspections, nurse staffing, and quality measures in medical care. The Community is the only Johnson County provider selected for inclusion in the report.
Located on a 120-acre campus, the not-for-profit Community offers several living options: independent homes and apartments, assisted living services, dementia care, 24/7 nursing care, skilled nursing rehabilitation services, short-term respite care and hospice care.
The Franklin United Methodist Community is a continuing care retirement community and is located ½ mile west of U.S. 31 on Highway 44 (Jefferson Street) across from Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
