Indiana Bishop Mike Coyner announced Dec. 22 the appointment of the Rev. David L. Overmyer, 53, as an Associate District Superintendent. Overmyer was ordained Deacon in 1990 and Elder in 1996, however he has been serving churches in Indiana since 1977 where he served first as a student pastor. He retired earlier this year to pursue doctoral studies. He is a graduate of Indiana University (bachelors degree in English, Political Science and Sociology-1986) and of the Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary (M.Div.-1992). He and his wife have three grown children and four grandchildren.
