INDIANAPOLIS (CWS) – Church World Service announced in December that John W. Dolon is now CWS Indiana/Kentucky Regional Director based in Indianapolis. He began his ministry with CWS on Dec. 1 and succeeds the Rev. Judy Dunson, who retired.
One of his primary responsibilities that will bring him in contact with many United Methodists across Indiana are the CROP Hunger Walks.
Dolon was reared in Muncie, Ind., and recently moved to Indianapolis with his wife, Michelle. His previous experience has been with Oxfam America, where he worked in advocacy issues and coordinating volunteers in California and Minnesota. Prior to that, he worked with healthcare coalitions in California and Ohio and the ONE campaign in several west coast and eastern states.
Dolon is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif. On a personal note, he is interested in sports and collects vinyl records, especially rock-and-roll and Christmas music. He and Michelle are new parents. Michelle gave birth to Axl Ramone, who was born Dec. 27, weighing in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce and 21 inches long.
Dolon can be contacted by phone at 317-923-2938 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
