Kathy Seay, a United Methodist of Mt. Washington, Ky., has sewn more than 250 school bags to be filled with school supplies for the children of Liberia and Sierra Leone. These school bags will be shipped by Indiana based Operation Classroom. Seay who worked many years for a department store in alterations, says she makes schools bags to occupy the long winter snow days. Using material donated by friends, it takes her about 20 minutes to make a bag. Any group wishing to supply the contents for these school bags can contact the Rev. Joe and Carolyn Wagner, coordinators of Operation Classroom, at 765-436-2805, for information and instructions.
