The Fund for Theological Education is offering financial aid and a network of support for first-year Master of Divinity students preparing for pastoral leadership. Congregational Fellowships provide financial aid to first-year seminary students through partnerships between FTE and individual congregations.
Applicants must be nominated by supporting congregation. Congregational Fellows receive a $2,000 to $5,000 award from FTE to match dollar-for-dollar support provided by their nominating congregation. Recipients will also attend a four-day conference prior to the fellowship year, where they engage with theologians, pastors and church leaders. There also is the opportunity to become part of a network of support that helps guide and advise students during the first year of seminary. The deadline for nominations is April 1.
