DELAWARE, Ohio - Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO) faculty member Lisa Withrow was installed into the Dewire Chair of Christian Leadership during a ceremony Feb. 10. Withrow is the first person to hold the Dewire Chair, which honors MTSO President Emeritus Norman E. "Ned" Dewire, who led the school from 1986 to 2006.

Withrow, who was appointed to the MTSO faculty in 1999, holds a doctorate from the University of Glasgow, a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University. She is ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church. After her installation by MTSO President Jay Rundell and Academic Dean John Kampen, Withrow presented a faculty lecture titled "Change: Exploring Implications for Religious Leadership-a Pedagogical Inquiry." As holder of the Dewire Chair, Withrow has responsibility for the teaching of courses in the area of Christian leadership and administration, with a focus on developing dynamic and visionary leadership for the church.
