INDIANAPOLIS - Butler University junior Meg Biallas has joined the Indiana United Methodist Communication staff as an editorial intern through May.
Biallas, a double major in journalism and media arts, assists Together Editor Daniel R. Gangler in the publishing of the Hoosier United Methodists Together and related newsletters, as well as helping launch the new Indiana Conference Web site.
Biallas is a native of Westmont, Ill., a suburb of Chicago and previously interned at the Chicagoland Gardening magazine, published in Lombard, Ill. She hopes to explore a career in television production or Web journalism.
She is currently exploring her Christian faith through her sorority's bible study on Butler's campus. This internship is coordinated by Butler's Center for Faith and Vocation directed by Judith Cebula and is funded through a Lilly Endowment grant.
Biallas said in response to her internship here, "Interning with United Methodists will give me the opportunity to see how my career path and faith life can intersect. I am so grateful to have Judith Cebula and the Rev. Gangler as mentors during this experience. I look forward to offering my skills to serve the Lord, and I know will gain more than I could ask for."
