The Indiana Africa University Campaign efforts to raise $1.6 million for an endowed chair in Agriculture and Natural Resources, as well as endowed student scholarships at United Methodist-related Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe, is well underway and is seeing strong support from local church commitments. Each local church in Indiana has been invited to make a pledge the to campaign to be completed by December 2016.

To date, more than $1,126,587 has been pledged with 354 churches having committed to supporting or having already made their contribution to the campaign. The Africa University Development Office located in Nashville, Tenn., will manage and invest all funds raised to due to the financial instability of Zimbabwe.

Donations to the campaign may be made online at the same web address.

In an effort to help churches understand and interpret The United Methodist Church’s ministry at Africa University, the Indiana AU Campaign has speakers available to come to local churches and offer presentations about Africa University and the campaign.
